Prairie Council on Aging maintains a fleet of vans and buses to serve older citizens in Morgan and Scott Counties. Van service is provided 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Senior citizens needing transportation may call our office and one of our drivers will come to your location, take you to your destination and back. We do ask that in non-emergency situations that you call our office by 3:00 p.m. the day before you want to make your trip. Our drivers and escorts are available to assist riders on and off the vehicles, to carry packages to and from the home and store, and to assist with loading wheelchair passengers.



SENIOR BUS REGULATIONS

Pick-up and drop-off destinations for the passenger must have accommodations for the van to park and remain within the vision of the driver.

Senior Citizens must be 60 years of age.

Wheelchair-bound passengers must have a ramp to exit and enter their homes. Van drivers are not allowed to lift or pull a wheelchair or a passenger up or down steps.

Any wheelchairs used for transporting passengers must be in safe, working condition.

Please remember that this may be a shared ride and that the van may be as much as 15 minutes earlier or later than the scheduled pick-up or drop-off time.

All passengers must be secured in the van seat with a seat belt and be capable of remaining seated for the entire trip.

Reservations need to be made on the previous business day before 3:00 p.m. There will be limited "same day" transportation for emergencies, as much as possible.

Suggested round trip fee is $3.00 and $1.00 for each additional stop. Vans do not run errands. Please limit shopping bags to three (3) sacks of groceries at one time.
